Frozen peas or petit pois
Cooked as per instructions

Depending on shape and size of bread
Grated or crumbled cheese of choice
Feta and parmesan go nicely with this.
Instructions
Cook and drain the frozen peas.
Mash the peas roughly leaving some texture to them.
Mix in lemon juice and seasonings.
Toast your slices of bread and add peas on top. I like to top with either crumbled feta or vegetarian Parmesan.
Notes
This goes perfectly as a side to pasta dishes instead of garlic bread. It can also be eaten as a starter, or just a snack!
